Elihu And Job – Part 01

July 30, 2025

This book traces the passionate speech of Elihu, the young man in the Book of Job, who rises amidst silence and confusion to defend the justice, mercy, and wisdom of God. Elihu rebukes Job for insisting on his innocence at the expense of God’s character, yet unlike Job’s friends, he does not condemn but corrects with humility, stressing that true wisdom is born of the Spirit—the breath of the Almighty. He teaches that God speaks to mankind in dreams, warnings, and even through suffering, not to punish, but to save, humble, and restore. Foreshadowing the hope of a divine Mediator and a ransom for mankind, Elihu’s vision reveals a compassionate Creator who disciplines out of love and provides a way from the pit to renewed life and light, setting the stage for the deeper revelation of redemption yet to come.
